Midtown Arts Museum is launching its first participation storybuild on Monday, 9.1.2014, Wear Your Goggles to the Goldrush. All elements are ready for visitors, explorers and amateur sleuths to plunder. A storybuild mystery is not an event that is attended. Rather clues and story are collected, assembled and written by the participants who journey through it. It is writing via pictures and conversation - - the natural, entertaining and effortless way.
There are limited rules, lots of clues and souvenirs, plus the opportunity to write your own 200 word short story and have it bound. Add it to the Mount Bethel Lending Library shelf. Add it to your own. It is your story.
For those sleuths who want to discuss the investigation without giving away spoilers there is a community already set up for you to use. Because the cozy mystery is part of the Lakewater Project, you can earn a Realm Master sword, a grand prize fit for a master crime writer, and the completion of one more step to earn an OAR of your own. It is all win-win.
Midtown Arts Museum and the Lakewater Project are underwritten by edummersiveworlds.org, a non-profit educational concern. Ruby O'Degee, fictive curator and age writer is a member of the Devokan Trust, a group of dedicated storybuilders.
